Our People

Graham Briggs. Partner. Admitted as a solicitor in 1982.

Graham specialises in defending all types of motor and other personal injury liability claims, including where liability and/or quantum fall to be determined in a foreign jurisdiction.

He has acted for over 23 years for one of the largest insurers in Europe and the UK. For over 10 of those years, in addition to a full claims handling role, he also managed a team of lawyers handling high value motor claims.

He specialises in high value and catastrophic claims (employer's, public, product and motor liability) across the whole range, right through to the most severe multi-million pound spinal and brain injuries, and has considerable Appeal experience, including two cases in the House of Lords and one in the Privy Council.

Graham is as comfortable handling claims where the necessary emphasis is on rehabilitation as he is in fighting cases on liability and establishing exaggeration and/or fraud in quantum.

Graham acts closely with our Health and Safety team to ensure that all relevant aspects of the civil damages claim are identified at the earliest opportunity.
