Gary has over 20 years’ exclusive defendant insurance experience, primarily in employer's, public and product liability and Health and Safety prosecutions.

In civil actions Gary has acted throughout the full range of cases from the small claims to catastrophic on behalf of liability adjusters, composites and Lloyd’s syndicates as well as through direct instructions from major public companies.

Health and Safety experience ranges from Magistrate Court to major multi-fatality Crown Court cases and includes attendance from the outset, through Inquest and PACE interviews to trial and involving the HSE, Local Authority, Environmental Agency and Police (manslaughter investigations).

He has acted in Health and Safety and police prosecutions arising from railway fatalities, including the Tebay disaster (individual arrested for manslaughter), agricultural fatalities and death at sea as well as cases involving the most serious life-changing injuries where civil damages have run into several million pounds.
